Randal and Juanita Breen

In 2014, Randal and Juanita Breen made the life-changing decision to leave behind their busy city lives and purchase their 141-hectare farm located in the Goomburra Valley in South East Queensland. From the start, Echo Valley Farms has been committed to holistic farming practices aimed at restoring and regenerating the previously degraded land.

Ten years on, the Breens' enterprise has expanded into a 263-hectare, multi-species integrated farming system consisting of cattle, sheep, poultry, pigs, hay/grain and seasonal small cropping. For them, words including 'ethical', 'sustainable' and 'holistic' lay the foundation of their work. These values have inspired them to develop the '4 Good' principles: Good for the animal, good for the land, good for the farmer and good for you.

These guiding principles are integral to every aspect of Echo Valley Farms, eliminating the need for chemicals and allowing the Breens to focus on regenerative farming practices. Their dedication to restoring the soil microbiome and providing their livestock with nutrient-rich feed underscores their commitment to improving the land for future generations.
