Coming home to her family's farm during a particularly bad drought seven years ago inspired Dallas to change course in her life. She left her career trajectory in TV and Film Production Design to stay full-time on the farm, building the marketing and Agritourism side of Towri Sheep Cheeses.
Dallas and her mum and business partner, Carolyn, have a flock of around 350 Awassi sheep on their 300 acres at Towri. These sheep are specifically bred for the milking industry. The business started as Carolyn's cheese-making hobby, and it has since skyrocketed into an on-farm store. Gourmet cheese is made on-site and sold to chefs around the country.
Dallas's entrepreneurial spirit has helped Towri Sheep Cheeses flourish. It started with milking demonstrations and has since expanded into farm tours, monthly on-farm growers markets for other local producers, and hosting events and weddings. Dallas is passionate about sharing the work done on the farm and helping bridge the gap between farmer and consumer.
