Amy Brooks

Amy Brooks is a proud Wulli Wulli woman, connected to Country and community through her mother's clan near Eidsvold in the South Burnett region of Queensland. Her family has worked in the agricultural sector for generations, including her grandfather, who was a head stockman at the iconic Eidsvold station.

Amy has worked in the agricultural industry for nearly 20 years and is currently the group safety training and development manager for Stockyard Beef. There, she focuses on creating a dynamic workforce, programs around diversity, career paths and development for team members.

Amy has shared her expertise on multiple boards, including on the Australian Beef Sustainability Framework steering group committee, looking at sustainability within the industry. She has been involved with Meat Business Women since its inception, a global group that connects women from across the meat processing supply chain, and has recently completed a four-year term with the Woorabinda Pastoral Company, an agricultural enterprise based in central Queensland. She has been a member of Telstra's Queensland

Regional Advisory Council, where she advocated for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in rural and remote communities.

Amy was also a member of the working group developing and helping implement OBE Organic's Reconciliation Action Plan.

Her passion for the industry comes through as she works towards creating safe, healthy and diverse workplaces that foster an environment of inclusivity.
