Eloise Baker

Eloise Baker is a copyeditor and writer at Growing Country. She has previous experience as a writer, covering topics related to housing and development, and as an academic editor. There's nothing she loves more than taking raw information and transforming it into something that everyone can understand.

Like many people, she is concerned about how we are going to create a sustainable future but recognises that agriculture is going to play a huge part in it. Despite being the granddaughter of two biochemists, including a grandfather who studied animal husbandry and water quality, Eloise would be equally lost either in a lab or on a farm. Nevertheless, she hopes that she can at least use her unique skills for storytelling and her love of language to help bring cutting-edge agricultural best practices to a wider audience.

A keen animal lover, she is especially interested in new techniques that produce happier, healthier livestock. When not reading for work, she can be found reading for pleasure or indulging the antics of her very silly dog.
